1. From the 17 ^th century onward, the female genitalia and vagina ; based on appearance, texture, and delicacy; the synonyms: oyster-catcher / oyster bed , now obsolete, were coined in the 19 ^th century; hirsute-oyster was coined in the 1990s. See vagina for synonyms.

2. Ejaculated seminal-fluid or gob of semen , based on consistency and pearly appearance. Usage in the sense dates back to the 17 ^th century. See semen for synonyms.
