1. Defiend by John Trimble in 5000 Adult Sex Words and Phrases (1966) as: ' The practice whereby an aging man sleeps with-young girls, possibly in-the-nude , for the purpose of Sexual rejuvenation. From the Biblical reference to Shunam, an ancient city of Palestine, where the custom allegedly originated .'

2. The only other reference to this word in my terminology database is shunammitism , another word for bundling, a colonial American custom in which a young man and woman who were courting slept together at night, fully clothed, to conserve heat and eliminate the need for the young man to ride back to his home after dark .
