An informal and widespread term for:

1. A person who keeps his or her sexual-orientation a secret from friends, relatives, coworkers, and/or the public or someone who is gay but thinks nobody knows it .

2. A person who has homosexual sex but pretends to be straight . See also: in-the-closet .
